

Malcolm E. Hilliard, 91, of Huntsville passed from this life into eternity on Saturday, August 30, 2025. Malcolm was born on 16 March 1934 to James Daniel and Mamie Treptau Hilliard in Madison County, AL. He was the oldest of two children. Malcolm was a businessman in Huntsville for many years working as manager of number of dry-cleaning firms. He was a member of the Gooch Lane Church of Christ in Madison, where he served for many years as an elder.
Malcolm was preceded in death by both parents, his wife of 53 years, Thelma Wheeler Hilliard, and his second wife of 8 years, Barbara Teters Hilliard.
Malcolm is survived by his sister, Shirley Ashburn of Huntsville; a half-brother, Larry Dye of Pensacola, a half-sister, Carol Dye Eubanks of Pensacola, four sons, Keith and wife Jean of Elkmont, AL, Anthony and wife Veronica of Limestone County, Phillip and wife Tammy of Athens, AL, and Paul and wife Kimberly of Woodville, AL, his step-daughters Leesa Teters Hartz and husband Terry of Huntsville, and Sherry Pierce and husband Richard of Madison. He was a proud grandfather of 16 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.
Services for Malcolm will be at Valhalla Funeral Home located at 698 Winchester Rd, Huntsville, Alabama 35811 with Visitation from noon to 3 pm followed by a memorial service to begin at 3 pm, on Thursday, August 4, 2025. Greg Chandler, Minister of the Gooch Lane Church of Christ will officiate.
Burial will be immediately following services at Valhalla Memory Gardens in the Chapel Garden.
In lieu of flowers the family request a donation made to Hospice of Limestone County in Malcolm's memory.
