Mrs. Margaret Genevra Hurd

Margaret G. Hurd, 92, of Huntsville passed away peacefully Saturday evening at Diversicare of Big Springs Nursing Home. Mrs. Hurd was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Margaret McLaughlin Donohue; her loving husband of 64 years, William C. Hurd; and her son, Michael Hurd.

Left to cherish her precious memory are her 3 daughters, Connie (Ron) Eimer of Huntsville, Kathryn (Dave) Tyner of Fairfield, CA, Marilyn (Randy) Liliie of Ft. Wayne, IN; her son, Larry (Jane) Hurd of Chino Hills, CA; daughter in law, Stephanie Hurd of Ventura, CA; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and several other relatives and friends.

Margaret was a loving wife and mother who thoroughly enjoyed her role as a homemaker. She loved to cook and take care of her family’s needs. She was also an excellent baker, who loved to favor family and friends with her homemade potato bread. She loved music especially that of the Big Band era and was an avid reader. Margaret Hurd was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her!
