MARIE ELKINS December 28, 1939 – May 26, 2015 Marie Elkins, 75, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015. Ms. Elkins was preceded in death by her parents, William D. and Vennie Mae Grayson Osborne; her loving husband of 45 years, Allen G. Elkins, and four brothers. Left to cherish her precious memory are her daughters, Becky (John) Powell of Huntsville, and Ruth Ann (Nick) McConnell of Toney; her son, Scott Elkins, of West Point, AL; 2 sisters, Evelyn Golden and Dorothy (Kenneth) Dean of Huntsville; 4 grandchildren, Brandon, Josh (Erica), Katelin and Ava; 2 great grandchildren, Bren and Levi; a host of nieces and nephews; and many dear friends and family members. Marie loved life! Marie graduated from the Madison City High School. She was a member of the Church of Christ her whole life. She was the greatest house keeper in the whole world and more than likely the best cook you ever knew (and very opinionated about how to do it)! She enjoyed soft ball and bowling all of her life. She was a member of the TOPS Club the (Take off Pounds Sensible club). Marie Elkins was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her! You may visit with the family on Thursday evening, May 28, 2015 at Valhalla Funeral Home from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. There will be a funeral service on Friday May 29, 2015 conducted by Minister Tim Orbison, commencing at 11:00 AM in Valhalla’s Chapel.
