Martha Jean Booker

Martha’s and her twin Mary Ann Ford have gone to sleep with Jesus: Mary on Thursday, July 26, 2018 and Martha on Thursday, April 22, 2021. Martha was a woman of faith. Simply put – she loved the Lord. From the time of her youth until her death, she exhibited a calm spirit that characterized her life. She also had a passion for gardening. Martha loved her family and if you were her friend, you became her family. She was a caregiver to the young and the old.

Although she will be missed, Martha will forever live in her four children, Marie Forde Malone, Eva Bush (Conny), Shirley Foster, and Phillip Booker; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and three siblings, in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, god children, friends and her beloved church family.

She is preceded in death by her son, Jerome Booker; sisters: Carrie, Virginia, Lucy, Florence, Mary (twin); her brothers: Shelly, William, Wilson, Jr., Hammond, Cleveland, Columbus, Billy and Jeff.

She leaves to cherish her memories: two sisters, Mazie and Lillian and one brother Bobby (Emma); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dedicated friends.
