Martha Jean (Honeycutt) Faint, 94, of Huntsville, Alabama passed away on November 24, 2019. Jean was born in Gadsden, Alabama on August 20, 1925. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Lydia Honeycutt; husband, David L. Faint; son, David (Dee) Faint; grandson, Jamieson Faint; brothers, Ralph Honeycutt and Claude Honeycutt.
Left to cherish her memory are sons. Donald and Susan Faint of Madison, AL, Darrell and Sandra Faint of Huntsville, AL, Dewayne Faint of Huntsville, AL; and daughter-in-law, Margie Faint of Manassas, VA; six grandchildren, Charlie and Lila Faint of Honolulu, HI, Kathy and Bill Livermore of Huntsville, AL, Jonathan and Kaci Faint of Birmingham, AL, Joshua Faint of Huntsville, AL, Tiffany and Travis Falls of Front Royal, VA, and Ryan Faint of Manassas, VA;
eight great-grandchildren; one brother Carl Ray and JoAnne Honeycutt, along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
Jean graduated from Emma Sansom High School in Gadsden, Al. She met David Faint at a skating ring while he was stationed at Camp Sibert near Gadsden. They immediately fell in love and married in 1944. Dave and Jean moved to Huntsville in 1961. She worked for the Chrysler Corporation until her retirement. She was an active member of Eastern Stars Helion Chapter No. 203 and served as Worthy Matron 1998-1999. Jean was a loving mother who devoted her life to taking care of her family. She enjoyed growing flowers, listening to music, especially gospel and country. Decorating her home and celebrating Christmas with her family brought her much joy every year.
Jean's family loved her and will miss her deeply.
A visitation for Jean will be held Wednesday, November 27, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home, with a funeral service at 2:00 PM officiated by Rev. Mac Buttram. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens, Huntsville, Alabama.
