Mary Elizabeth Teague

On December 4. Mary Elizabeth Woods Teague left physical struggles behind and went to meet her Lord and Savior. Mary was born in Jackson County, AL to parents William Woods and Bessie Isbell Woods. In 1951 she married her life-long partner Fred Albert (Buddy) Teague. They had five children, worked and lived around Huntsville's Lowe Mill, Lincoln and Merrimack villages. Mary studied cosmetology and business skills. Well loved by family and neighbors, she was often the neighborhood stylist, and also worked for Huntsville Manufacturing Company and later as Crestwood Hospital Ward Secretary. She was often recognized for her loyal, conscientious work, even in a rare snow event, walking two miles in knee deep snow to honor work obligations.

Mary nurtured her family and stressed honesty and strong work ethic. When not working, she enjoyed gardening, household projects, camping, fishing, league bowling, dancing and chauffeuring her children to sport participation. She was preceded in death by husband Bud, parents Will and Bessie, children Gary Lynn and Jeffrey Michael, sisters Beatrice Parker and Jimmie Watson, brother Luther Woods, several dear in-laws. nephews and nieces.

Mary is survived by son Freddy Teague, daughters Freida Ramadhani and Judy Teague, Grandchildren Alexander Teague, Sami Ramadhani, Jennifer King and Christina Boden (Matthew); Great grandchildren Gabriella, Victoria, Anastashia, Estrella and Ruxon, along with many treasured nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 8 at 2pm (Visitation at 1pm) at Valhalla Funeral Chapel. Internment will follow at Maple Hills Cemetery. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.valhallafunerals.com for the Teague family.
