Mrs. Mary Sue Tipton

November 10, 1938 – October 3, 2016

Mary Sue Tipton, 77, of Owens Cross Roads, AL passed away peacefully on Monday, October 3, 2016. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alle E. Crowson and Mary Sue Webster Crowson; four brothers and two sisters.

Mrs. Tipton is survived by her loving husband, Harvey L. Tipton, Jr.; one son, Mike Tipton (Michelle); four daughters, Sharon Porter (Terry), Cheryl Bearden (Calvin), Carol Bates (Anthony) and Jennifer Elders (Garland); 16 grandchildren, Alex Porter, Megan Porter, Sara Porter, Anna Kissinger (Muphen), Brittany Tipton, Peyton Tipton, Elijah Tipton, Victoria Moore (Austin), Lindsey Reed (Nick) Chloe Bearden, Alan Michael Bates (Tara), Taylor Bates, Delaney Bates, Jackson Bates, Brooke Canterberry, and Sydney Locke (Cody); five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Carey Crowson and Dennis Crowson; and one sister, Pat Martin.

You may visit with the family on Thursday, October 6, 2016 from 5:00 to 8:00pm at Mayfair Church of Christ. Mrs. Tipton will lie in state on Friday, October 7, 2016 from 10:00 to 11:00 at the church with funeral service conducted by Dr. Gary Bradley and Dr. Jason Bybee, will commence at 11:00am.
