Mary Elah (Hall) Toney

Mary Elah (Hall) Toney passed away August 4, 2019 at the age of 98. She was preceded in death by parents Shelby Jordan Hall and Morris Jones Hall, husbands Clinton and Edwin Lamb, brother Shelby Hall, Jr. and sons Morris Toney and Larry Toney.

She is survived by a daughter Jo Ann Toney Higginbotham (Thomas). One son, Jeffrey Toney (Annette). Grandchildren Kasey Dean, April Jones, Daniel Haga, Michelle Blackmon, Clinton Toney, Meghan Toney and Maribeth Toney. Great-grandchildren Katlynn Randle, Matthew Dean, Parker Dean, Tanner Dean and Hannah Jones. Sisters Kathryn Wall, Margaret Short and Edith Turner and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Toney was a lifelong resident of Madison County and owner of Mary’s Pit Bar-B-Q in Maysville. She retired from Civil Service, US Army Missile Command at Redstone Arsenal after thirty years of service. She was a member of Maysville Church of Christ.

Services will be at Valhalla Funeral Home on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at 11:00am with Bill Cantrell officiating. Visitation will be one hour before service.

Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
