Nellie Jo Vaughn

February 7, 1932 – August 27, 2015

Nellie Jo Vaughn, 83 of Huntsville passed away peacefully August 27, 2015. She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; two sisters; her daughter Jeanne Vaughn Underwood. Mrs. Vaughn is survived by her husband, Lewis Howard Vaughn; two daughters, Joy Vaughn Dickson and Deborah Vaughn Teague of Huntsville, Alabama; one son, Lewis Franklin Vaughn of West Blocton, AL.; one brother; one sister of the Memphis area; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and two great-great granddaughters.

Nellie Jo was born in the Memphis, TN area. She was married to her high school sweetheart Lewis Howard Vaughn in 1951. After relocating to Mobile, AL and Lawrenceburg, TN, her family settled in Huntsville in 1967. After retiring from the Federal Government, she opened and operated the "Affordable Elegance" custom framing and gift Shop until 1997.
