

She was born on February 4, 1933, and was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Ida Lee Mansfield; her father, Alexander Braxton Flythe; her brother, Harry Flythe; her sister, Nancy Williams; her daughter, Petit Hungerford; and her spouse, Edwin Rauch.
Left to cherish Pat’s memory are her son, Paul S. Hungerford III (Luanne); her granddaughter, Hannah Miller (Bradley); and her treasured great-grandchildren, Harper Rose Miller and Silas Everett Miller. She is also lovingly remembered by her nephews, Byron Williams, Mark Williams, Gregory Williams, and Phillip Williams, Forrest “Woody” Flythe; her nieces, Cynthia Geisert and Mary Kathryn Dunston; along with numerous great-nephews and great-nieces.
Pat had a true zest for life. She enjoyed singing, sewing, crafting, and shopping, and she was a lover of all beautiful things. A talented seamstress, she took great pride in her handiwork and was actively involved with the Red Hat Ladies. Pat adored hosting gatherings and was known for her beautifully decorated tables, always ready to welcome friends and family. One of her greatest joys was the color purple, which reflected her vibrant and joyful spirit.
Funny, witty, and charming, Pat had a bigger-than-life personality that drew people to her. Above all else, she deeply loved her family, who were the center of her world.
She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
A visitation will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home, located at 698 Winchester Rd NE, Huntsville, Alabama, 35811, on December 21, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
