Phyllis Moore Brown

Phyllis Moore Brown, 92 of Huntsville, AL, passed away at home on August 9, 2025. Born Phyllis Jeanine Moore on March 8, 1933 in Nashville, TN. She graduated from Issac Litton High School where she was a majorette. Phyllis enjoyed reading, sewing, listening to The Gaithers, and visiting with all of the grandchildren.

Phyllis was a long-time member of Lakewood Baptist Church where she had taught Kindergarten, Vacation Bible School and the 3-5 year olds Sunday School. Everyone loved her and their lives a little more brighter in knowing her.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard Burrell Brown, her parents James B Moore and Norena H Moore, her brother James Wilson Moore.

Phyllis is survived by a daughter Beth Angela Johnson (John), sons Richard (Rick) Burrell Brown Jr., Mark Moore Brown (Sissy). She is blessed to have seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.

Visitation for Phyllis will be held Thursday, August 14, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home, 698 Winchester Rd, Huntsville, AL. Following the visitation will be a celebration of life at 12:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel, 698 Winchester Rd, Huntsville, AL.
