Rachel Ann Tyree, age 83, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away on January 16, 2026. She was born on May 7, 1942, in Columbus, Georgia.
Rachel was the daughter of the late Rev. Andrews Bradley Chitwood and Leta Hurston Chitwood. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished her family deeply.
She was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Tyree.
Rachel is survived by her loving husband, Revis Harlon Tyree; her son, Harlon Tyree; and her grandchildren, Marissa Cano, Dylan Tyree, and Addie Williams.
Rachel was a faithful member of Winchester Road Baptist Church, where she found comfort, fellowship, and strength throughout her life.
A visitation will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home, located at 698 Winchester Rd NE, Huntsville, AL 35811, on January 21, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
The funeral service will follow at the same location on January 21, 2026, from 12:00 pm.
Her memory will be lovingly cherished by all who knew her.
