

Ret. SFC Randy Lee Guice Sr., 66, of Huntsville, Alabama passed away peacefully on Saturday October 4, 2025 surrounded by his wife and children. Born in Birmingham,Alabama, the youngest of 7 children, he spent his early adult years at Alabama State University where he was a member of The Mighty Marching Hornets band and pledged Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. Later he attended Allen University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and met his Wife Ella. Randy and Ella married February 6,1988 and had five children. Randy dedicated 21 and a half years to the United States Army where he dutifully served his country with honor, respect and courage.
Randy loved people, he was warm and always welcomed people with open arms. He would give anyone the shirt off of his back. He loved to make people laugh and took care of others. He lived to serve. He was a God fearing man and led his wife and children with God in the forefront. He was a dedicated husband, a present and active father and grandfather, a loving son and brother, and a great friend to many. His presence will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Ella M. Guice; His Children Brianna Guice, Valeska Guice Cummings (Pierre Cummings), Rolonda Guice Small (Dominique Small Sr.), Randy Guice Jr. and Mack Guice III; 6 grandchildren Ny’Ella Guice, Jaelon Guice, Journee Guice, Dominique Small Jr., DeJair Cummings, & Elianna Cummings; 5 siblings Freddye Mae Davis, Bettye Fisher, Eleanor Smith, Mack Guice II and Fred S. Guice Jr. He also leaves many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Randy is preceded in death by his parents Fred S.Guice Sr. and Emma B. Guice and his older sister Odessa Reynolds.
Graveside Services with Military Honors will take place on Friday October 10, 2025 at 11 AM at the Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo, Alabama
