Regina Clement Patrick, 79, of Huntsville passed away Sunday morning, July 19th. Born in Franklin County, Alabama to Robert and Della Clement in 1947, she graduated from S.R. Butler High School and married Walker Patrick, “the boy next door”, in November 1965. Having their sons within three years, they successfully moved between Huntsville, Asheville, Birmingham, and Nashville, finally settling in Huntsville. Her sons marvel at the strength and tenacity it took for her to raise them.
Regina began her career in business at Mack Yates Insurance Agency, moving on to Huntsville Teachers Credit Union (now North Alabama Educators Credit Union) in 1980, retiring in 2013. She was a key player in the growth and success of the credit union, advancing to the position of Vice-President of Lending, and was a contributing member of the executive management team.
A devoted wife and mother, Regina cherished her family and the deep relationship she fostered with their three boys. Additionally, she developed her passion of crafting into a skilled creation of quilts, cross stitch, pen and ink, and mastering sewing and crocheting, pastimes she shared with her daughter-in-law, Laura. She loved butterflies and flowers, raising African violets and pansies as her favorites.
Regina was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Walker Patrick, in 2023, her parents, Robert and Della Clement, and her sister, Beverly Franklin (husband Joe Franklin). She is survived by her sons, Alan, Timothy, and Brian, as well as Brian’s wife, Laura and their children, Amelia and David, and nephews, Russell Patten, Robbie Patten, and Jeremy Franklin. She is also deeply missed by many wonderful friends and family in the Huntsville and Russellville areas.
Visitation for Regina will be held Wednesday, July 22nd from 9:00-11:00 am at Valhalla Funeral Home & Memory Gardens, 698 Winchester Road, Huntsville, Alabama 35811. This will be followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am.
