Ronald (Ron) D. Suermann, Sr., 62, of Pensacola, FL, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2015. He was born in Mobile, AL raised in Huntsville, AL, graduate of S. R. Butler High School ’72. The majority of his life was spent in aviation beginning in the U.S. Air Force to his retirement from commercial aviation; advancing from A&P mechanic to Flight Engineer to First Officer. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Syble Suermann. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Linda Suermann; son, Ron Suermann, Jr. and wife Jeanine; daughters, Wendy Suermann and Stephanie Sanchez; sister, Cindi (Suermann) Alexander and husband, Ric; grandsons, Jacob and Trevor Suermann; nephew and niece, Nicholas and Delaney Alexander; uncle and aunt, Tony and Jackie Cooper, and cousins. A celebration of his life will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home, 698 Winchester Rd. NE, Huntsville, AL. Visitation from noon to 1:00 p.m., Life Celebration Service at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2015.
