As a young child Ruth was often compared to Shirley Temple even winning a look alike contest. She had a love for dancing and carried that love with her all her life. When she wasn't dancing you could find Ruth spending her time at church at the time of her passing she was the oldest member of Restoration Church in Madison. Ruth also loved spending time with her family, after all they were her greatest accomplishment.
She is preceded in death by her husband; Gordon T. Hallmark, and parents, Comer and Neil Vance.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons; Gordon Hallmark Jr. (Anita), Fred Hallmark (Wanda), and David Hallmark (Lisa), daughters; Glenda Laubscher (Hannes), Donna Fish, Debra Scott, and Betty Hallmark, 15 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
A visitation for Ruth will be held Friday, December 8, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home, 698 Winchester Rd NE, Huntsville, Alabama 35811. Following the visitation will be a celebration of life service at 3:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel led by Rachael Martin.
Ruth will be laid to rest in Valhalla Memory Gardens, Huntsville, AL.
