Sandra M. Buchanan, 74, of Huntsville, passed away on April 30, 2018. She loved life, was especially proud of her grandchildren, and was the best mother and friend you could have. She was a strong-willed, intelligent, and caring woman who was there for you no mater what. By her own words, she lived a great life and had no regrets. She was preceded in death by her parents, John C. and Ann McKelvey. Surviving are her sons, Craig Buchanan (Kayla), and Joel Buchanan (Jody); brothers, Mike and Jerry McKelvey; grandchildren Taylor, Savannah, and Braylon Buchanan; special aunt and close friend Jimmie Glover; close friend and cousin Susan Jensen; close friend and cousin Bessie Dearmond; and her best friend and confidant Jerry Quinn. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 3 at Valhalla Funeral Home, 698 Winchester Road, Huntsville.
