Sherry is survived by her loving husband Daniel Provencio, mother Frances Smith of Section, AL,
mother-in-law Abbie Hammer, children Johnathon Moore of Dutton, AL, Randall and Jenna Moore of Hollywood, AL,
Steve Provencio of Huntsville, AL, brothers Chris and Carol Frizzelle of Henegar, AL,
David Frizzelle of Fyffe, AL, sister Kathy Frizzelle of Pisgah, AL, Brothers-in-law David Provencio of Dallas, TX,
and Victor and Lupe Provencio of El Paso, TX. Grandchildren Tyler and Micah Provencio of Huntsville, AL
and Harmony Olson of Hollywood, AL. Nephews Austin and Matthew Tidwell of Pisgah, AL. Niece,
Linda Provencio of El Paso, TX. She is preceded in death by grand-mother Mary Lou Steele,
grandparents Edward and Tommie Frizzelle.
Sherry worked for many years at SAIC and T-Fab Tyonec as a lead electronic technician.
She also worked at Oakwood University as the program manager for their start-up electronics fabrication division.
Sherry suffered from complications due to Crohn’s disease and had been disabled for many years.
She fought a long and hard battle with this illness, but didn’t want to give up for the thought of hurting
her loved ones by leaving them. Sherry had a heart of gold, and would help anyone who needed her
even though she suffered so. She is at peace now and free of pain,
but will be missed by all those that knew her.
A visitation is scheduled for Wednesday March 11th from 6-9 p.m. (service at 7 p.m.)
at Valhalla funeral home in Huntsville, AL. She will be interred at Fort Bliss National Cemetery in El Paso, TX.
