Shirley Irene Cruse

Shirley Irene Cruse, 77 of Huntsville passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015. Mrs. Cruse was preceded in death by her Husband, L.C. Cruse; brothers, Danny Stephenson and Darrell Stephenson. She is survived by her sisters, Janet Gale, Ruby Stephenson; brothers; Larry Stephenson and Steven Stephenson, five children, David Cruse, Kellie Whitmore both of Huntsville, AL, Gordon Cruse San Diego, CA, Duane Cruse of El Cajon, CA, Michael Cruse of Rancho Mission Viejo, CA; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Shirley loved her clocks, the older the better, the songs of the grands and cuckoos gave her great joy. She was very talented with her crocheting, she made beautiful table cloths and blankets that her family loved. She enjoyed shopping and going to the movies and just spending time with her family. Mrs. Cruse was a firm believer in Christ Jesus and was a born again Christian. She had recently moved across country and was becoming established in her new home, sharing time between her son and daughter. She had not established herself in a church but had found a home in a ladies Bible study that met weekly. She was a loving mother, a loyal friend, and a genuinely beautiful person. She will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Cruse will be inurned at El Camino Memorial Park in San Diego, California. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the local Humane Society. Please sign guest registry at www.valhallafunerals.com.
