Shirley Ann Hoard

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lorena Weber, her loving husband, Earl G. Hoard, her daughter Lisa Hoard Johnson and two sisters, Audrey Hoffman and Imogene McKenzie.

She was born in Festus, Missouri. After high school she went to work for Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company in the shipping department. Shirley and Earl married in 1950 and moved to Alabama in 1958 where he worked as an engineer and raised their family. Shirley was a wife, mother and homemaker for 61 years and had many hobbies including sewing, bowling, dancing and going out to dinner and playing cards with her friends.

She is survived by her devoted children, Robert (Cheryl) Hoard, Susan (Kevin) Miller, Jennifer (Alex)

McCool and Patrick Hoard, her loving grandchildren, Taylor and Jeffrey Coe, Nicholas and Alex IV

McCool, Katie and Lissa Miller and her twin great granddaughters, Natalie and Roxanne Hernandez, and many cousins, niece and nephews.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on February 9, 2018 at Valhalla Funeral Home with a service to follow at 1 p.m. Interment will follow immediately after at Valhalla Memory Gardens. Please sign her guest registry at www.valhallafunerals.com.
