Steve is survived by his wife, Elaine Wright of 46 years; son Tom Wright; son Patrick Wright (Keli), grandkids Brady and Jonathan; daughter-in-law Victoria; grandkids Sam, Jack, Reagan and Anna. Brother Tom, sister Kathy (Charlie).
Steve was preceded in death by father Thomas D Wright; mother Pauline T. Wright; and son Paul Wright.
Steve worked civil service for 40 years with the US Navy in Charleston, South Carolina and US Army in Huntsville, Alabama.
Steve loved God, family, country and friends. Steve was an accomplished pianist with a love for music. Steve also loved the beach, yard work and watching and listening to the birds.
Steve had an affinity for Christmas lights and fireworks on the Fourth of July.
Steve loved college football especially the Tigers (Auburn and Clemson). Steve had a passion for playing with his kids and grandkids in the yard involving any sport.
A celebration of life was held June 19, 2021.
