Thomas “Waddell” Lamb born to John and Fannie Belle Hall Lamb on May 24, 1933 passed away October 13, 2020. The middle child of 5. Brothers and Sisters all gone before him are William (Merl) Lamb, Audrey Leigh Mears, Jessie May Carter, and Billy Ray Lamb. His loving wife of 57 years, Era Joyce Lamb, passed away almost 3 years ago in April.

He is survived by 3 daughters; Cathy Sims (James), Peggy McAllister (Mike), and Shirley Chambers (Tim); 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was a quiet man who worked hard and didn’t have a bad word to say about anyone. He worked hard at many jobs over the years. He didn’t have a high school education but he made a good living and could do lots of things. He helped his dad farm and do odd jobs. He told stories about carrying a measuring stick in one hand to measure by and a saw in the other hand to the woods to help Uncle Rube cut up trees for lumber. He also helped him fish for mussels. He worked in a factory bundling flooring planks, in a nursery and then at Huntsville Manufacturing for 25 years until it closed down, when he then retired. He helped Mom raise many foster children along with his own daughters. Made lots of fond memories there in the little Jim Walter Home in Owens Cross Roads.

In 1979, they moved to Elkmont and bought a small farm that he had always wanted. Where he filled it with animals and had a garden every year. He had a long and fulfilling life at 87 years old. He will be dearly missed.
