Vincent Edward Moyers

Left to cherish Vince’s memory are his sister, Deborah Moyers from Florida; sister, Pamela Odell (Denver); niece, Mandy Albers Brady (Patrick); his beloved cats, Cleo and Tara; and other family and friends.

Vince is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Parkhill Moyers; sister, Beverly Jan Albers; brother-in-law, Earl Boyd Albers; nephew, J.W. Power; mother, Clara McCoy; father, Elbert Earnest Moyers; and his grandparents, Thomas and Myrtle Stewart.

On June 11, 1980 Vincent married Linda at the Madison County Courthouse of Huntsville, AL. Vince joined the US Army a few months later, in September 1980 and was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant (Drill Instructor) in April 1990.

Vince and Linda visited several parts of Germany while he was stationed there, including to visit his oldest sister, Jan, brother-in-law, Boyd, and niece, Mandy in Pirmasens, where Boyd was stationed. Boyd was like father to Vince and inspired him to join the Army.

Vince most recently worked as an Enterprise Cybersecurity Service Line Manager for Leidos, Inc. at NASA for 4 years. The 20 years prior to that, he worked as a Computer Scientist for various government contractors at NASA.

Vince was also something of a sports fan and enjoyed watching his favorite events whenever he got the opportunity. Tops on his list was Alabama Football and fishing (and taught some folks how to fish). He also enjoyed watching car races and numerous other sports. He also liked watching classic TV shows like Quantum Leap.

A Celebration of Life visitation will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Valhalla Funeral Home.
