William Frederick Kerlin

William F. Kerlin, 78 of Huntsville, AL on April 22, 2023. William was born in Cleveland, OH on June 20, 1946. William was preceded in death by his father, Robert Kerlin; mother, Eileen Kerlin; brother, James Kerlin.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Betty S. Kerlin; two sons, Brian L. Kerlin, Keith A. Kerlin (Amanda); sister, Bonnie Simpson; brother, Daniel Kerlin, along with a host of family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

William was in the Air Force for three years, followed by a 10 year commitment to the Army. William was employed at Redstone Arsenal in several different positions.

He was a Boy Scout Leader and Trainer for the Scout Program. William also was an Alabama Instructor (Cougar). He was awarded the Hunter Education Instructor of the Year (Statue), Alabama Hunting Education Association Instructor of the Year, Volunteer Hall of Fame in 2015 and Alabama Wildlife Federation Governor's Conservation Achievement Award for Hunter Safety Instructor of the Year in 2002.
