

Angela Kay Butler (née Palmer), age 55, passed away on October 2, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Born on July 4, 1970, in Rush County, Indiana, Angela brought warmth and joy to those around her throughout her life.
A graduate of Rushville High School, Angela built a meaningful career as a senior analyst for workforce development at United Healthcare. Her dedication and professionalism left a lasting impact on her colleagues and the communities she served.
Angela was a devoted wife to Alan D. Butler (her Linus) and a loving mother to her son Jonathon Phillips. She also embraced her role as stepmother to Todd Butler and Lindsey Swinford (Christian), nurturing strong bonds within their blended family. Angela is also remembered with love by her brothers David Palmer (Cheryl) and Gregory Palmer, honorary grandchildren Zoey, Ally, and Drew Harden, along with cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her father, Eugene Palmer; her mother, Darlene Palmer; and her brother Kevin Palmer.
Angela’s life was marked by joy and deep affection for those she held close. She found happiness in simple pleasures—time with her Linus, her beloved cats, the beauty of sunflowers, and the quiet wonder of snowfall. A faithful Christian and devoted member of the Brownsburg Church of Christ, Angela’s faith was a guiding light throughout her life.
Visitation will be held on October 7, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Leppert Mortuary, 730 East 86th Street. A funeral service will follow at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brownsburg Church of Christ in Angela’s memory.
