Charlene Rae Rockhill was born on March 29, 1937, in Brazil, Indiana, to Floyd and Virginia Rockhill. She graduated from Brazil High School in 1955 and went on to attend Indiana University, where she was a proud member of Chi Omega sorority. In 1959, she earned her degree in business.
After IU, Charlene met the love of her life, David Churchman, whom she married on October 15, 1961. Together they built a joyful life, raising four children who insist on reminding everyone that they are, in fact, “ridiculously amazing.” In return, Charlene was blessed with four equally wonderful grandchildren who brought her immeasurable pride and joy.
Charlene was preceded in death by her husband, David (2015). She is survived by her children, Curt, Elizabeth, Andrew, and Matthew, as well as her grandsons, Sebastian Dix, John Churchman, Henry Dix and Zachary Churchman.
Those who knew Charlene will remember her as a loving and devoted mother, a steady source of encouragement, and someone whose kindness and wit left a mark on all who crossed her path. Her absence will be deeply felt, but her love will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
She will be dearly missed.
