Derek Jay Atchison

Derek Jay "D.J." Atchison, 47, of Avon, Indiana passed away December 15, 2020. He was born in Centralia, Illinois the son of Gary and Judy (Corzine) Atchison. He attended St. Mary's Grade School in Centralia, Illinois, St. Malachy in Brownsburg and graduated from Avon High School in 1992. He graduated from Ivy Tech and was a Heavy Equipment Operator with the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 841. He was a Motorsports enthusiast enjoying stock car racing and drag racing. He was a member of the Mopar Car Club of Indianapolis. Derek is survived by his parents, Gary and Judy Atchison of Avon, Indiana; and his brother, Tony Atchison of Avon, Indiana; and many friends across the US. A celebration of Derek's life will be held at a later date in 2021.
