As a child that lived across the street since 1973, Deloris was the mother of the neighborhood. She loved and fed all the children that was graced by her presence. This one time she was taking us kids to the Jewish Community Center to swim on a hot day. Some said that she wasn't the best at driving but we didnt care, just take us swimming. So we hopped in the white Honda Civic and off we go. Got to spring mill road where its very curvy and scary. Well it seemed like we were going to go off the side of the road because we were so close to the edge. We looked over and ducked down for impact. What we didnt know was Jesus always escorted Deloris and her precious cargo personally wherever she went. So we got up that road, on the egde, with no problems at all and we swam all day long. Lol Thank you Deloris for blessing us and showing us what Jesus would have us do. I will love you forever and ever. Til we meet again......... tell PaPa Yeadon that we can't wait to have his grilled hamburgers again!!!!

Back in 1989, I was a 19-year old exchange student from Costa Rica, who needed a host family in order to attend IUPUI. The Yeadons became that welcoming family and Mrs. Dolores Yeadon became Mom Yeadon. Her generosity and kindness embraced me and I felt at home away from home. Even though I gained 20 pounds because of her delicious cooking :), I feel very blessed that I got to know her and spend time with her and her family. She will be remembered with gratitude and love.
