Dorothy Lee Ringlespaugh, 95, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away May 24, 2026 at her home of over 67 years, surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 10, 1931, in Hale, Michigan to the late Glenwood and Fern (Yawger) Streeter.
Prior to raising a family, Dorothy was a switchboard operator at Carson Pirie Scott department store in Chicago. She was also a devoted homemaker.
Dorothy was a former member of Crossbridge Baptist Church, where she made some wonderful friends. She loved to take shopping excursions with her friends to Brown County. Like her father, she enjoyed gardening and loved flowers. Dorothy and her husband, Bob, would enjoy going to Indianapolis Indians baseball games and watching the Indiana Pacers on TV. She spent time reading, baking, playing games, and years ago, played a mean game of croquet. She especially enjoyed kidding around with her son-in-law, Dennis.
Her sweet personality and sense of humor will be missed so much. She never met a stranger and was a friend to everyone she would meet.
Through her several health issues in the past six years, her doctors and family were amazed by her strength and resilience. There is comfort knowing she is in heaven with no more pain.
Special thanks to the Paradigm Hospice Team, especially Chaplin Brian, her nurses, Sam and Kelly, and last but not least, her social worker, Anna.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Cindi (Dennis) Myers, granddaughter, Taylor (Matt) Coats, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Bob; sister, Gloria, grand fur baby, Benson; special friends, Margie and Lou; and her cousin Glenda.
