We say, “until we meet again” to Gloria Lily Quezada Jimenez de Guy, or more affectionately known as “Chichi.” Born and raised in Santa Cruz, Bolivia as one of 8 children, she was tough, she was sensitive, and she was fun.
She obtained her nursing degree in obstetrics and in 1968 met an American named John who was there with the Peace Corps. They chose to spend the rest of their lives together and returned to the US to settle in Indianapolis.
Mother to 4 children: Chico, Cindy, Alex and Laura, she gave and gave. Her other loves were traveling the world with John, tennis, anything with water, nature, and simple joys like a good cup of coffee and watching the birds and squirrels in her backyard. She was complex and she was human. She does not “leave behind” anyone because she continues to live in each of us. Mom, go swim, go hike, go laugh, go “be.” Until next time. (Written by Cindy Fall).
