Dr. Jaswant Gidda and his wife Raj were cherished friends of our founder, Christel DeHaan and long-term supporters of our mission. Jas approached his role on the Christel House International board as he did so many things in life – with intellect, compassion and generosity. He will be greatly missed and the board extends our deepest condolences to Raj and their family.

Gidda Sahib was a dear friend and a mentor to us. When we arrived in Indianapolis in 2003 and didn’t not know anyone, he took us under his wing. Both Raj and he were instrumental in helping us create a circle of friends with whom we are still connected despite the fact that we moved away from Indy in 2014.
He taught us the gift of giving, kindness, and generosity. He was always helpful in providing guidance and assistance in every aspect of life. We will miss him; God bless🙏

Dr.Jaswant Gidda was a wonderful spirit. His family’s life and our lives intersected with our family about fifty years back in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, India. Then surprisingly enough, we all became Hoosiers together. I had many intellectual discussions with him about his Scientific work and I was always amazed at his Scientific brilliance. Then I saw his philanthropic and charitable work and was always amazed at his dedication. Then I had the pleasure of seeing him up close as a family man, a husband, a son, a Dad and a brother. He was always an inspiration to us in all those roles. With him, we Hoshiarpuris have lost a piece of us. He and his great spirit, and his smile will always be missed.
