Jeffrey Wayne Faires passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025, at the age of 57. He was born on January 13, 1968, in South Ruislip, England, and later came to the United States with his mother, Candice “Candy” L. Parker. He was lovingly raised in Carmel, Indiana, by Candy and her husband William “Bill” Parker. Jeff graduated from Carmel High School in 1986 and went on to attend Ball State University.
Jeff built a career at the American Legion, serving as Deputy Director of IT. He left his position early when his father Bill became ill, choosing without hesitation to devote himself fully to caregiving. From 2015 until Bill’s passing in 2019, Jeff lived with him in the woods of Martinsville Indiana — a period he cherished deeply.
Jeff loved motorcycles, golf, race cars, and especially fishing with his dad. He adored his pets, including his beloved dog and pig. For almost twenty years he treasured his visits to his parents in Islamorada, Florida, a place that became sacred to the family.
He was preceded in death by his mother Candy (2014), his father Bill (2019), his maternal grandparents Cass and Madonna Balay, his cousin, Tracy Parker and his paternal grandparents Betty and Dick Parker.
He is survived by his uncles Richard Parker (Marybeth) and David Parker (Julie), his aunt Diana Parker, and his cousins Eric Parker, Ian Parker, David Parker (Anita Hoy), Paul Parker (Jenny), Elizabeth Jackson (Corbin), and Bonnie Parker.
In accordance with Jeff’s wishes, there will be no funeral or service. His ashes will be spread at Cheeca Rocks in the Florida Keys — the same place where the ashes of his parents, Candy and Bill, and his grandparents, Cass and Madonna Balay, were laid to rest.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Legion in his memory.
