JoAnne embraced life with undeterred ambition and determination. With the sudden loss of her husband, Henri Najem Sr in 1972, JoAnne at the young age of 36 was left to raise her six children. Her keen business acumen and passionate spirit led her to establish a portfolio of successful businesses. This was a testament to her dedication and a reflection of her innovative mind. JoAnne's establishments were more than mere businesses; they were gathering places where she melded harmoniously with a warm, welcoming atmosphere she so lovingly cultivated.
JoAnne lived a life rich in experiences and passions. An avid traveler and sports enthusiast, she found joy and exhilaration in both attending live events and following her favorite teams. Her love for competition was equally mirrored in her penchant for sports where the excitement of chance was always met with her signature elegance and good humor.
JoAnne is survived by her loving sister Josephine Mulhern.
JoAnne's greatest legacy is her family. Her six children—Lisa Bonacorsi, (John) Denise Keeler, (Rob)Anthony Najem, (Liza)Annette Zeledon, David) Henri Najem (Shelley) and Annie Thompson (Bobby) were the cornerstones of her life. She guided them with enduring wisdom, infinite love, and unwavering support.
As we commemorate JoAnne's extraordinary life, we cherish the indelible impact she has had on those who knew and loved her. She leaves behind 19 Grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren. Her spirited laughter, compassionate nature, and trailblazing presence will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
A formidable entrepreneur and a beloved figure in her community, JoAnne leaves behind a legacy of richness with love, laughter, and the heart of her family.
