John Vernon Danley, 93, of Indianapolis passed away November 4, 2025. He was the son of the late Chester and Ailene Danley. John was born in Lafayette, Indiana. He served in the United States Air Force and received the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. John graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Civil Engineering and worked his entire career at Eli Lilly and Company. He was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth (Betty) C. Danley. John and his wife, Betty, were members of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church.
Survivors are his daughters Cheryl L. Patterson and Carolyn S. Conrad.
John was loving, supportive, kind and loyal. “We will miss him deeply, but his love, generosity, warmth and spirit will live on in those who knew him forever.”
