John and I met in 1957-58 at IU in Bloomington before medical school admission for either of us. John was bright and fun-loving. We essentially lost contact with one another as we practiced medicine in different specialties and in different fields, on different sides of Indianapolis, but I always liked John and enjoyed his company. A very fine man.

Very sad to learn of John’s passing. We have been friends for more than thirty years. I never saw him without a ready smile and a pleasant comment.
He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Our sincere sympathy,

Judy:

I just learned about John. Please accept my sincerest condolences. He was always one my most admired friends and co-trainees many years ago and I regret that the friendship was not maintained over the years. Nevertheless, he was a great guy and I am very sorry for your loss.

John and Judy and their family were wonderful Brendonwood neighbors for many, many years. Together we enjoyed all the neighborhood amenities, parties and fun so very often. John's sunny disposition and positive attitude shown light on all. His beautiful family is a testament to his personality.

Dear Lowes,
Seems like 'yesterday' that I can see Cathy, Jenny, John, and Katy roaming the halls and campus of Park Tudor! And, mom Judy and dad John were always in attendance at EVERY event. You know, good guys like John aren't suppose to die, but the Good Lord shared him with us for some 89 years: his gentleness, kindness, devotion and knowledge he so generously shared with each of you and with those of us privileged enough to "know" him! Were it not for 3 broken bones in my back, I would be there with you!
HIS peace and love, I send to you! Judy Roberts Muirhead

My prayer and testament to Dr John Lowe, his care for my mother in the ‘80’s, and the mentoring/counsel he provided me in my development. Enthusiastic, caring & sensitive, witty, and generous, I benefited from his energy.

Dear Lowe Family - I am so sorry to learn of Dr Lowe's passing. I remember him from when I was a teenager. I was one of the first babysitters for the Lowe's. They even took me to MI for two weeks to babysit but I actually felt as though I owed them - they tried very hard to teach me to water ski and treated me like family, Dr Lowe worked in the same med bldg as my father's pharmacy. I have such wonderful memories of all of you, and I now see there is a fourth I never knew. Thank you for sharing such lovely photos of the family. I will keep you all in my prayers.
