

Kathleen Lou Oliverio Robbins passed away on September 4, 2024. Her parents, Dona and Art Oliverio were living in Boston, Massachusetts when her mother visited family in Fort Wayne, Indiana and she was born during that trip.
She attended Pike High School and Purdue University and received a B.S. from Indiana University and an M.S. from IUPUI.
She was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa, Alpha Epsilon Chapter, and the Assistance League of Indianapolis. She was also a St. Luke’s United Methodist Church member and served as the elementary advocate for the Indiana Teachers of Writing. She taught for two years at Fall Creek Co-op Preschool and 47 and a half years at Greenbriar Elementary School.
She loved her grandchildren, teaching, and all her students. She enjoyed writing, creative, and service projects.
She is survived by the daughters she loves, Kimberley (Steve) Martin and Kristy Robbins, her sister Sally Diller, her brother Ed Oliverio, her seven nieces and nephews, cousins, and many caregivers, students, families, and especially her four grandchildren, Meghan Martin, Sam Martin, Lucy Martin, Bella Martin, and her newly born great grandson, Bradyn Curlin.
Her Service will be at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 100 W. 86th Street, on Saturday, September 21st with a visitation at noon and the service at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in honor of early literacy to the Washington Twp School Foundation.
