Obituary of Kenneth Sherer Anderson
Kenneth Sherer Anderson, age 89, of Carmel, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. Kenneth was born October 13, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois to Kenneth G. and Ruth A. (Sherer) Anderson. Kenneth attended Harvard University and graduated from Indiana University. He served in the U.S. Army as a meteorologist stationed in Germany. Kenneth was a system analysist for Western Electric / AT&T for 36 years. Both he and his wife Beverley shared their passion in Model A Ford restorations and touring with the Indianapolis Model A Ford Club. Kenneth is survived by his son Mark Anderson (Connie); and his son Michael Anderson (Heather). Kenneth also leaves grandchildren Ricky, Sierra, Christopher, Christie and Erin; and great grandchildren Ryker, Leonidas and Hudson. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Ruth Anderson, his sister Claire (Anderson) Hunter, and his wife Beverley (Welsh) Anderson. A visitation for Kenneth will be held Monday, September 27, 2021 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at Leppert Mortuaries – Nora, 740 East 86th St, Indianapolis, Indiana 46240, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Kenneth will be laid to rest in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery Chapel, 9001 Haverstick Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46240. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Kenneth's memory may be made to Brown County Art Gallery, 1 Artist Drive, Nashville, Indiana 47448 US, https://www.browncountyartgallery.org/. The Brown County Art Gallery is how Kenneth and Beverley met through their parents being involved with the gallery. This is how the current Anderson family came to be.
