For several years, I drove Margaret Anne to a retreat at Waycross Camp and Conference Center in southern Indiana. The retreat was designed for a time of gathering with women from the Episcopal dioceses of Indiana to enjoy one another’s company, gather for prayer and discussion, walk in the woods and have fun for four days.
One night of the retreat was given over for skits, singing and voting for one of the participants to be Miss Waycross. The entrants would do a skit , sing a song, or perform to convince the audience that she should be chosen Miss Waycross. Margaret Anne was selected as
Miss Waycross that year. She loved it!
