Marilyn J. Hodel

MARILYN J. HODEL, 87, Carmel, Indiana, resident entered into eternal life and her heavenly home, 2024. Mrs. Hodel was born November 30, 1936, at St. Vincent Hospital, Fall Creek, to the late parent’s Kenneth V. & Helen B. (Welch) Pearson, Sr., Indianapolis, IN, residents.

Marilyn was a beloved mother, spouse to the late W. Gerald Hodel (2003), married 45 years and a grandmother, great-grandmother, hospital volunteer and avid GRRACE supporter.

She attended St. Agnes Academy and graduated from St. Mary Academy, Indianapolis, 1955. Post-secondary education she pursued a degree in Nursing while attending Marian College (now “University”) in Indianapolis.

Marilyn was employed at Hunt’s Jewelry and Indiana University Med Center prior to her wedding nuptial.

Family, children survivors: Karen A. (Hodel) Camfield (Major William J., ARMY veteran retired) Kevin G. Hodel, Kristopher S. Hodel (Jennifer M.). Grandchildren: Christine A. Camfield-Kowalski (Grant), Catherine M. (Camfield) Marrs and Michael J. Camfield. Great Grandchildren: Juliana Marrs and Ava Marrs

Thursday, 03/07/24: The Family will receive and greet friends 4 – 8 PM at Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel, Indianapolis.

Friday, 03/08/24: Rite of Christian burial and mass begin with morning prayers in the mortuary and continues with procession to the funeral mass celebrated at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Cathedral, 11 AM, Indianapolis.

Interment following at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, indoor Chapel services, Indianapolis.
