Following her marriage to lifelong partner Kenneth Hutchinson, she relocated to Indianapolis, IN and raised 5 children. She remained very close to her siblings, twin sister Jeanne Walsh, brothers Charles and Francis Murphy, sister Doris Carner, and also her cousin, Mary Alice Bryan.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings.
Surviving are her sons James, Kevin and Robert (Yessenia) Hutchinson, daughters Gail Hutchinson and Ellen (Stephen) Gwinn, grandchildren Aaron, Samuel, Jissel, Nayelli and Ashley, and great-granddaughter Leah.
Maureen was blessed to survive a near-fatal car accident and a life-threatening cancer diagnosis. Her Catholic faith was very important to her. Maureen was an active member of the original St. Simon the Apostle parish and later Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Indianapolis.
She was a gentle soul who always put her family before herself. She was known for her smile and sense of humor, especially regarding her New Jersey accent. She will be greatly missed.
Special thanks to Michael Large, MD whose skilled and compassionate care blessed her with many more years. Thanks also to Mackenzi Edwards, RN for making her last day peaceful and comfortable. Her family is eternally grateful to both of you.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Feeney-Hornak Mortuary, Shadeland. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be followed by interment at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN.
