78, of Indianapolis, departed this life Friday, September 17, 2021. He was born October 18, 1942 in Sullivan, Indiana to the late Mervin “Pug” and Mary (Goodman) Enochs. Mervin was a graduate of Pleasantville High School. He always held his ties to the Pleasantville area in high regards. Mervin was a master craftsman and accomplished drywall finisher. He loved carpentry and enjoyed collecting old and antique tools. He enjoyed going to yard sales and auctions, but really enjoyed meeting people and learning their stories while sharing some of his own. He truly had never met a stranger.
Mervin was a kind and gentle soul who was happiest making memories with his loving family. He always put his family first and worked with dedication and devotion to provide for them. Being from Pleasantville, he had always loved the outdoors. Whether it be fishing, hunting, gardening or mushroom hunting, he appreciated nature and all it has to offer the soul.
Mervin was preceded in death by his siblings, Darlene, Donna, Carl and James Enochs.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 year, Diana (Overton) Enochs; his dedicated children, Lori Hall, Robert Enochs, Lisa (Karl) Krause and Brian Enochs; dear siblings, Virgil Enochs, Dorothy (Richard) Mayfield, Diane (Johnny) Chambers and Deborah (Tim) Newell; eight grateful grandchildren; one great-grandson and a host of nieces and nephews.
