When Neil retired, I was working with him in the District's review staff. Regardless of how obscure the question, it seemed Neil had the answer in his card file! But it wasn't his knowledge that I admired so much. Rather it was how he interacted with others. Neil was always cheerful and invariably found the time to help others. My deepest sympathies to his family for their loss.

Neil: You will be missed especially at breakfast time almost everyday at the great SS. Thank you for your service you went through some tough times during Korea. Even though you were not in my Marine Corps SEMPER FI.

I feel very fortunate to have known and worked with Neil. I considered him to be the quintessential gentleman. His passing will leave a very large void in his many friends.
