Patricia Ann Ball

93, of Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024, on the day of her 73rd wedding anniversary. She was born in Indianapolis on July 26, 1930.

Pat was born and raised in Indianapolis and graduated from Shortridge High School in 1948, then attended Indiana University where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. She had worked for her father’s business, Mortgages Inc., and later was a long time sales associate for the Depot, in Broad Ripple. Patricia was a longtime member and Deacon of Tabernacle Presbyterian Church. She also was a member of the Indiana Historical Society, Alpha Tau Latreian, Indianapolis Museum of Art, and a Life Member of the Day Nursery Auxiliary.

She and her beloved husband, Irv enjoyed traveling on many trips around the world in retirement. Her focus was always on faith and her family, children and grandchildren, and her many wonderful friends.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice C. Mackey and Kathryn D. (Hufford) Mackey; her husband, Irving Francis Ball; daughter, Suzanne Ball Gunter; and grandson, Brian A. Laesch.

Pat is survived by her children, Kathryn B. Laesch and Dr. Steven I. (Amy Henn) Ball; grandchildren, Kristen G. (Bryan) Way, Hayley Gunter, Jordan I. Laesch, Kelsey L. (Thomas A., III) Pease, and Spencer I. Ball; great-grandchildren, Thomas A., IV, Shepherd Brian, and George Brooks Pease; sister-in-law, Patty McVey; and nieces and a nephew.

A visitation for Patricia will be from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm on Monday, July 1, 2024 at Tabernacle Presbyterian Church. Graveside services follow the visitation at Crown Hill Cemetery.
