Robert William Hilt

Robert William Hilt, 62, of Indianapolis, unexpectedly passed away February 21, 2021. Bob was born February 6, 1959 in Findlay, Ohio to the late William and Jaqueline (Desgranges) Hilt. Bob is survived by his son, Adam R. Hilt, 20, of Indianapolis; step daughter Ariann V. Furan, 24, of Indianapolis; brother, Brian (Debbie) Hilt, Sr. of Indianapolis; sister, Kris Hilt of Ingalls, IN; niece, Kelly (Danny) Kennedy of Pendleton; and their children, Aubrey and Olivia; and nephew Brian Hilt, Jr., of Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, Dustin; and most recently, his girlfriend, Jean. Bob was employed as an auto mechanic and former owner of Import Specialists, Inc. Bob’s joy has always been his children. He loved them “to the moon and back!” He rode his Harley Davidson on many trips-most recently to Florida. Bob was a big NASCAR race fan and also loved go-karting. In the past, you could have found him on his boat at Dale Hallow Lake or in Northern Michigan fishing or riding snow mobiles with friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2021 from 5-6:30 PM followed by a memorial service at 6:30 PM, all at Leppert Mortuary – Nora Chapel, 740 E. 86th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana.
