Sherri suffered many health problems for several years, eventually leading to disabling conditions. She did however, manage to live a fairly active life and lived independently in her own home.
Sherri was born on July 21, 1959 in Wichita Falls, TX. She lived the past 65 years in and around the Indpls, Carmel, Lawrence areas. She was a l977 graduate of Carmel High School with a nearly perfect 4.0 GPA and went on to attend Indiana University.
For many years she was very involved in her church and community until failing health prevented it. Sherri loved Christian & Gospel music and was a beautiful and gifted singer herself, performing in school choirs and plays and lending talents to family and friends.
Sherri started her own videography business, “Precious Memories”, where she created lovely family videos. She also spent many years at Castleton Mall, at Christmas time, working with Santa Clause. She fiercely loved and doted on her fur babies after the loss of her stillborn daughter in 1993.
Sherri was preceded in death by daughter, Mandy Kellia Dale and her father, Thomas Hancock. She is survived by her mother, Shirley (Bob) Fields; brother, John (Tina) Hancock; Step-brother Doug (Julie) Fields and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on October 16th, 2025 at 12:00 noon at Leppert Mortuary in Nora. There will be 1 hour of visitation prior to the service.
