William L. Goss

William Lowell Goss, 82, died February 4, 2026, in Indianapolis. He was born August 1, 1943, in Lafayette, Indiana to Lowell and Alice (Gross) Goss. Bill attended Meadow Lake School, graduated from Wolcott High School, Class of 1961 and Indiana University, 1965, where he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. Growing up on the Goss Family Farm in Wolcott, he developed a life long interest in farming by participating in 4-H and FFA activities. Bill was President and CEO of American Business Investors in Indianapolis which he founded in 1981. He was a Certified Business Intermediary and member of the International Business Brokers Association.

In addition to his parents, Lowell and Alice Goss, he was predeceased by his brother, John Goss of Monticello, brother in law Dave Shortlidge of Brewster, New York, brother in law Jim White of East Lansing, Michigan and longtime companion, Florence Hays of Indianapolis.

Surviving are his son, Lowell (Kristen Culp) Goss and granddaughter Stella Goss; son Isaac (Jenna Fribley) Goss; sister Martha Goss Shortlidge White, nephews Joel (Lisa) Shortlidge and Aaron (Ellen ) Shortlidge; sister Mary Alice Goss (Robert) Bauman, nephew Mark (Courtney) Mc Kee, niece Sarah ) McKee (Cliff) Ricci; niece Allison Bauman (Tim Turner), Sister in law Leslie Wineland Goss. Special family members, Thad and Birgitta Handford son Elias (Darby), and daughters Miranda and Amanda, former wife Jill Davies Goss, caregiver Angela Warfield and numerous cousins and friends.

A visitation will be held at Leppert Mortuary - Nora, located at 740 East 86th St, Indianapolis, IN 46240, on February 11, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. A memorial service will take place during the visitation at 5:00 pm.
