The son of David and Laura (Huff) Guntz, Trey was a 2021 graduate of North Central High School. Trey was preceded in death by his grandparents Edward Guntz, William Huff, and Karen Huff. Trey is survived by his parents, oldest sibling, middle sibling Holle (Guntz) Andrade, brother in-law Nathan Andrade, grandmother Jeanne Guntz, 14 aunts and uncles, and 33 cousins.
Trey’s passions were swimming, running, hiking, chess, rubix cube, creative arts and enjoying the outdoors. He could be found savoring spicy food, or one of his many self-prepared meals. Trey was quick with a joke, had a calm disposition, and was kind to everyone he encountered. Never in a hurry, he operated in his own time and on time. If you were lost, he was great with directions, and never worried. A Life Scout, Trey was a man who traveled light, left no-trace, and culminated his troop experience by completing a 100+ mile hike at the Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. You could find him traveling long trips with a backpack and a pen. Trey loved the Sunday funnies and created his own cartoons, something his siblings appreciated receiving. True to his swimmer background, Trey was his own barber and loved a crazy haircut.
Trey is our favorite son. Trey said I love you daily and gave great hugs. We will miss his beautiful blue eyes, cheeky grin and quick wit. He will be forever remembered for his kindness.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request you honor his memory by donating to local BSA Troop 174 at (https://www.joinscoutsin.org/) or Philmont Scout Ranch at (https://www.philmontscoutranch.org/).
