

Bill was born on August 3, 1957, in Cleveland, Ohio, and moved to Indianapolis at the age of 15, where he graduated from North Central High School. He was a proud alumnus of Purdue University, earning a degree in Forest Management.
His deep love for the outdoors remained a lifelong passion, expressed through hiking, spelunking, photography, and the cultivation of many varieties of plants.
Bill spent much of his adult life in Florida, where he enjoyed the beaches, warm weather, and his adult volleyball league—finding joy in both the competition and the camaraderie of the sport.
Bill lived life on his own terms, and his independent spirit was reflected in his eclectic interests. Bill was an avid collector of art, musical instruments, and antiques, drawn to the stories behind the objects he cherished.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Phyliss (Chapman) Wurster, and his brother, Robert (Bob) Wurster. He is survived by his brother Richard (Karen) Wurster and his nephews Patrick and Michael (Christina) Wurster.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9, from 10:00am to 11:00 am at Leppert Mortuary Nora Chapel in Indianapolis. Private services and inurnment at Crown Hill Cemetery will follow.
