It is with great sadness that the family of Albert E. Peddle, 69, of Broad Cove, announces his passing on Sept 10, 2018 in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital. Born on Bell Island, N.L., he was a son of late Blanche (Beckford) and Albert Peddle; sister, Gladys (Albert) Whalen. Albert is survived by his wife Mary, (MacDonald); daughter, Shelley O' Toole(Tom), and Anne MacLeod; grandchildren, Ronald and Mairiann O’ Toole, sister, Emma Martin(Jim) of Bunyan’s Cove, N.L., many MacDonald brother’s and sisters in law; nieces and nephews. Albert worked in Toronto and as a mechanic in Baddeck following his move back to the East Coast. Mary and Shelley would like to express their sincere thanks to the professional and courteous staff of the Inverness Hospital, Life Flight and Halifax Infirmary 5.2 for their exemplary care provided to Albert and their thoughtfulness and attention to Albert and his families’ needs during this difficult time. Cremation has taken place and visitation will be in Inverness Funeral Home on Friday, September 14, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at St. Margarets of Scotland Broad Cove on Saturday, September 15th at 11:00 a.m. with Father Dan MacDonald officiating.
