

MacLean, Catherine Ann “Caddy Walker”– Inverness, age 73, passed away in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish, on Thursday, May 5, 2011. Born in West Lake Ainslie, Inverness Co., on August 7, 1937, Caddy was a daughter of the late Alexander and Jessie Anne (MacMaster) Walker. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, West Lake Ainslie and also a member of Stella Maris Church, Inverness. Mom was a very kind, gentle, and generous soul who loved her family deeply. She enjoyed such things in life as a chat over a good cup of tea, a good bingo game as well as watching wrestling on TV. She also loved to bake, play the piano and listening to a good tune. Catherine is survived by her children, Raymond (Jane), Wendell (Cath), Darrell, Rhonda (John A) Mullins, Bernie (Lisa), Kim, Jesslyn (Robert) Mullins, Jolene (Ronald), Donna (Wally) and Mitchell; sisters, Jessie Clarke (late Cecil), Anne (John) Dunford; sister -in- law, Alice; 33 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond and lifelong partner, Harold “Madda” MacDonald; brothers, Alexander, Alex Dan (Marie), John Dan (Betty), Donald, Lauchie (Vivian); sisters, Christina, Margaret “Peggy” (John R) MacDonald, Marie Florence “Toots” (Charlie) MacEachern and Irene.
Visitation will be held in Inverness Funeral Home on Monday May 9, 2011, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral mass will held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. from Immaculate Conception Church, West Lake Ainslie with Fr. Bernie MacDonald officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Family flowers only please, memorial donations may be made to Immaculate Conception Cemetery, West Lake Ainslie or to Stella Maris Church Building Fund, Inverness.
